I’ve been meaning to make a blog, for a long time. I can spend hours with thoughts ruminating about in my mind. I have opinions on everything from my favorite anal plugs to international politics. This is a way for me to express myself in different way than I usually do. And as I type this at my kitchen table I realize I am completely naked so… . Maybe not as different as usual!
After being in the adult industry for years, I really can’t imagine myself doing anything else. A lot of people might question my decision. Hell, even my closest friends sometimes don’t understand why I’d rather do anal than “get a real job”. But the biggest reason I love what I do is because of how self-driven of an experience it is.
IT’S LIKE INDEPENDENT STUDY
When I was a college student, I took an independent study course. Creating my own curriculum and area of research was necessary. Unsurprisingly, I chose to look into international sex work policy. I had the opportunity to work with a professor at my college who was my mentor. I had never been so excited to engage with my schoolwork! It felt like finally I got to treat myself and give myself what I always wanted to research, my way.
NOT SO TRADITIONAL
I actually really love to learn but often I feel uncomfortable in traditional settings. Traditional modes, like sitting in a lecture hall for hours, just doesn’t fit me. The adult industry is similiar to independent study courses, except you get paid for your effort! Some people might not realize just how much research and development goes into creating and marketing adult content. I find it’s hard to put down my screen because I geniunley enjoy what I’m doing.
DO WHAT YOU LOVE, BUT…
I think it’s important to be able to do what you love but not sacrifice your financial security for it. Luckily for me, I love what I do and it can provide security. There’s so many ways to earn money in the adult industry, not just being in front of a camera doing anal. It’s astonishing how many things I’ve learned by simply being an adult content creator. Who’d have known my sluttyness would have led me to gaining so many skills? I hope this post has helped you understand a bit of my perspective on what I love about this industry!
